Well today, screw them all especially Samsung because you can have you Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910H) running Marshmallow 6.0.1 today and it’s an official Samsung Rom so it will not void your warranty and also does NOT require that you root your device to install the firmware. Add to this the fact that mobile carriers around the world, especially here in South Africa are also very slack at allowing new firmware for Samsung phone to be released unless it has first been tested extensively on their network, what does this mean for you the user? It means you have to be stuck with buggy old software on your phone while the powers that be scratch their backsides, get another paycheck and do diddly squat at all about making life better. It seems that Samsung purely doesn’t give a hoot about security of their users, instead they focus on releasing a new model of phone just about every week. In fact Samsung has not even released a single security update for the current 5.0.1 (Android Lollipop) version despite several serious security warning having been issued by Google over the past year regarding the StageFright exploit on Android devices. Samsung has been notoriously BAD at releasing any updates for their so-called previous “Flagship” model of their entire device range.
